Bennie McNeill enters his first season as Direc<strong>to</strong>r of<br />
Football Operations for Coach Rick Rhoades <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Statesmen</strong><br />
football team. McNeill’s duties include game-day<br />
management, equipment inven<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>and</strong> maintenance, arrange<br />
travel <strong>and</strong> serve as <strong>the</strong> primary assistant <strong>to</strong> Coach Rhoades.<br />
McNeill comes <strong>to</strong> DSU with an extensive knowledge in<br />
athletics. A former high school coach <strong>and</strong> long-time DSU<br />
basketball statistician, McNeill will be a solid asset <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
program.<br />
Travis E. Parker Field is visible from <strong>the</strong> Billy Dorgan, Jr.<br />
Student-Performance Center. Parker Field seats 8,500 fans<br />
<strong>and</strong> was opened in 1970.<br />

Eric Wright enters his fourth year at Delta State University<br />
<strong>and</strong> his fourth overall with <strong>the</strong> <strong>Statesmen</strong> football program.<br />
Wright will be <strong>the</strong> Head Manager <strong>and</strong> Assistant Equipment<br />
Manager this season <strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong>p assistant <strong>to</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r of Football<br />
Operations, Bennie McNeill.<br />
Wright has served <strong>the</strong> previous three seasons as <strong>the</strong><br />
Assistant Manager <strong>and</strong> Assistant Equipment Manager under<br />
Coach Rick Rhoades.<br />
Wright is a native of Tupelo <strong>and</strong> a 2002 graduate of<br />
Pon<strong>to</strong><strong>to</strong>c High School. He is currently majoring in Criminal<br />
Justice <strong>and</strong> will graduate in December 2006. Wright is also a<br />
Hall Direc<strong>to</strong>r for Housing <strong>and</strong> Residence Life at Delta State<br />
University.<br />
The <strong>Statesmen</strong> football locker room (pictured above) has<br />
space for 85 student-athletes <strong>and</strong> is furnished with wall-<strong>to</strong>wall<br />
carpet, lockers, s<strong>to</strong>ols, <strong>and</strong> cable televisions. It is<br />
adjacent <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> equipment room, athletic training department,<br />
<strong>and</strong> Billy Dorgan, Jr. Student-Performance Center.<br />
