7.1.3. Besluit bij de risicostratificatie
Het stratificeren van potentiële risicoÊs louter gebaseerd op een binair stelsel (hoog-
versus laagrisicofactoren) betekent een te sterke vereenvoudiging van een complexere
realiteit. Vele individuele risicofactoren kennen immers gradaties van ernst die niet altijd
even objectief (wetenschappelijk) te duiden zijn, bijvoorbeeld psychosociale elementen.
Vandaar dat bij het evalueren van de potentiële risicofactoren een derde categorie werd
gehanteerd. In geval van aanwezigheid van laagrisicofactoren (L) kan de richtlijn voor de
normale zwangerschap zonder meer opgevolgd worden. Bij risico zwangerschappen
kunnen bijkomende zorg of maatregelen aan te bevelen zijn.

La recherche bibliographique a été faite par interrogation des bases de données
bibliographique MEDLINE, EMBASE. Seul les publications de langue française et anglaise

suivants ont étés utilisés :

De la base documentaire utilisée par RCOG pour lÊélaboration de recommandation sur
le même thème à la demande du National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) 4
Cette base a été particulièrement utile pour compléter la recherche documentaire. Les
recommandations sur le même term élaborées par Institute for Clinical System
Improvement (ICSI) 55 et par Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada
(SOGC) 56 ont été consultées.
