sigtig, olyfgroen soms liggroen met ’n paar eilande; buitenste soom gewoonlik<br />

fyn getand of selde reguit; die binneste soom reguit en eenvoudig; in die<br />

ouere stadia ’n aantal blou groen kolle op die grens tussen die soom en die<br />

venster. Blomme geel.<br />

Die groep plante in Fig. 80, is vars van die veld en die in Fig. 81 is<br />

alreeds ’n tydlank in tuin gekweek.<br />

✱<strong>Lithops</strong> olivacea. Corpuscula olivacea, 1.5 cm. longa, 1.1 cm. lata, 1.8 cm.<br />

diam., fissura ad 8 mm. alta, apice convexa levissima, “fenestra” sordide satu<br />

rateque olivaceo viridis, pallide olivaceo marginata, notataque, margine inte<br />

riore linea integerrima, sat conspicua, onusta, margine exteriore irre gulariter<br />

incisa cincta, notis intus margines sparsis, varie formatis, nullis, tamen punc<br />

tiformibus; fibres haud visi.<br />

Peduncle much compressed and up to 1.1 cm. in diameter, sometimes<br />

nearly equalling the width of the leaf. The 5 sepals (sometimes partly the<br />

receptacle as well) rise beyond the top of the body. They are nearly equal and<br />

up to 6 mm. long and 5 mm. broad, inconspicuously tuberculate and reddish<br />

figure 81 . lithops olivacea l. bol.
