Titles for Digital Video and Film
The rescaling workfl ow is easy and straightforward, and can be used on any pixel-based graphic
system, and must be used with older versions of Photoshop.
This same technique can be used for DV at 16 × 9 aspect ratio as well. In this case, the pixel is wider
than tall rather than taller than wide. The original 16 × 9 image is created at 852 × 480. This is also
scaled to 720 × 480 in Photoshop. The computer image will now be taller than wide, but the displayed
video image at 16 × 9 will be back to normal proportions (see Figures 8.4 and 8.5). This scaling
should be done in Photoshop, not in Final Cut Pro.
