Specify the data to record in the OS/400 job log for <strong>Implementer</strong><br />

processing.<br />

Level: Corresponds to the first value of the OS/400 job logging level.<br />

Valid options are 0–4.<br />

Severity: Severity level used during create request. Corresponds to the<br />

second value of the OS/400 job logging level. Valid options are 00–99.<br />

Text: Message text recorded in the job log. Corresponds to the third<br />

value of the OS/400 job logging level. Valid options are *MSG, *SECLVL,<br />

and *NOLIST.<br />

Specify the number of job logs to save before deleting. Determine a number<br />

that is large enough to keep job logs for a reasonable number of requests.<br />

For example, 50 job logs may not represent 50 promotion requests, as a job<br />

log generates for each target environment on the request. Thus, if you<br />

regularly promote to two environments at a time, specify 100 job logs to<br />

retain 50 requests.<br />

Specify the default job queue and library for <strong>Implementer</strong>-submitted jobs.<br />

You can change the job queue at job execution for most jobs.<br />

Initialize tape Specify Y to automatically initialize a tape before saving objects for<br />

distribution on tape media to remote systems. The default value N does not<br />

initialize tapes.<br />

Default tape device Specify the name of the tape device used to save objects on tape media for<br />

distribution to remote systems.<br />

Field Description<br />

Specify the volume identifier to use for tape initialization. Required only to<br />

distribute to remote systems on tape media when the Initialize tape field is<br />

set to Y.<br />

Volume: Specify a a six-character value for the volume ID.<br />

*NONE: Initializes the tape without a volume ID.<br />
