System Control Maintenance<br />

This task allows you to set up and maintain the system-wide parameters used throughout<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong>. System Control Maintenance also controls the activation of many optional<br />

features in <strong>Implementer</strong>.<br />

Most users change the company name, job queue, CASE tool installation (if applicable), and<br />

any other values as needed. You can define the system parameters at the time of initial setup,<br />

once you have completed installation, or when you need to change the configuration.<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> also provides many data areas that allow you to further customize your<br />

implementation. For details, see “<strong>Implementer</strong> Data Areas” on page 402.<br />

Your user profile must have authority to this function.<br />

To perform System Control Maintenance<br />

1 From the <strong>Implementer</strong> Menu, type 45, or type STRIM (*SYSCTLMNT) at the command<br />

line and press ENTER to display the first of four System Control Maintenance panels.<br />

The actions you can perform on this panel are:<br />

F3=Exit returns to the previous panel without updating changes.<br />

F10=*ALL Special commands allows you to work with global special commands.<br />

For details, see “Special Command Processing” on page 103.<br />

F18=Name Rules allows you to work with global object naming rules. For details,<br />

see “Object Name Rules” on page 137.<br />

2 Complete the required fields as defined in the following tables beginning. Press<br />

PAGE DOWN to display the additional panels.<br />
