Appendix C: Converting DesignTracker Data to MKS Integrity
446
To generate and configure the conversion properties file
1 Generate an initial conversion properties file by issuing the following command. Change
the parameter values as needed based on your requirements:
ICVTDT MODE(*EDIT)
TYPE(*BOTH)
DFTCRTUSR(default_user_name)
A message confirms the conversion property file generated and the location of the file.
For detailed information on this command, see “Convert DT to MKS Integrity (ICVTDT)
Command Parameters” on page 440.
2 Open the file using a standard text editor and modify the conversion properties to
correspond with the information applicable to your database.
3 To retain the changes, save the implementer-conversion.properties file as a plain
text file.
4 Once the conversion properties file is populated with valid values, re-issue the
command to verify no errors exist. When you are satisfied with your results, you are
ready to convert the data.
Implementer Conversion Properties
The tables in this section describe the Implementer conversion properties file. There are two
sections to the conversion properties file: general conversion control properties, and DR and
SR field conversion properties. You may find it helpful to use the tables as a template when
mapping your data.
