Appendix A: Implementer Data Areas and User Exit Programs
414
This is a 20 character data area. Positions 1 through 10 store the job queue name, and
positions 11 through 20 store the library name. You must enclose the values in single quotes,
for example, ‘QBATCH *LIBL ‘.
Remote Job Submission Method (IRSBMMTD)
The IRSBMMTD data area contains the submission method for remote jobs. The data area is
located on the remote system in the Implementer Receiver product library.
This is a one character data area. Valid values are 0 or 1, enclosed in single quotes, for
example, ‘1’.
Work Library Cleanup (IMWLCLNUP)
The IMWLCLNUP data area is used with the release management features of Implementer
when using multiple Implementer Receivers on the same iSeries. The data area allows you to
install the same delivery on each remote system by controlling the deletion of the
Implementer work libraries used during delivery installation.
The data area is located on the remote system in the Implementer Receiver library MKSIR.
The default data area value *YES deletes the work libraries. Set the value to *NO to retain the
work libraries. Set the value to *NO on each Implementer Receiver, and then change it to
*YES before installing the last delivery. For more information, see the MKS Implementer 2006
Release Management Guide.
Customizing Implementer
Implementer provides the source file QSAMPLE, which is an ever-growing source of
technical information that helps you to further customize Implementer. The source file is
located in the Implementer product library MKSIM.
User Exit Programs
IMPORTANT Check the latest MKS Implementer Release Notes for release-related
changes to QSAMPLE that may require recompiling your modified source
programs.
The following is a partial list of the user exit programs provided in QSAMPLE. Refer to the
source in QSAMPLE for more details on these and other user exit programs.
