Sequential Request (IMSEQRQS)
Implementer Data Areas
The IMSEQRQS data area pertains to the processing sequence of promotion requests for
environments that are not compiled. This does not apply to emergency promotions. By
default, Implementer processes all compile requests based on a compile date edit. For
environments with the Compiled Required field set to N, this data area allows you to bypass
the date edit and process requests sequentially by request number.
The default data area value *NO allows all requests to process based on the date edit. Change
the value to *YES to bypass the date edit when not compiling and allow promotions to
process in request number sequence.
Special Commands (IMSPCCMD)
The IMSPCCMD data area contains a list of Implementer commands that are available as
special commands. The commands can be used as special commands without having the
Implementer library in the library list of the target environment. All other special commands
require the Implementer library in the target library list or a qualified library name. Users do
not maintain this data area.
NOTE To issue Implementer commands as special commands, the product library
(MKSIM is the default) must be on the environment library list. For AllFusion 2E,
the product library (Y2SYCM is the default) must be on the environment library list.
Save Program Name (IMSVPGM)
The IMSVPGM data area pertains to the Archive to Tape feature. It allows you to identify a
third party save/restore utility to a create off-line storage of archived information. For
example, you can use IBM’s Backup Restore Management System (BRMS) or your own
version of a save/restore utility.
This is a 20 character data area: Positions 1 through 10 store the library name associated with
internal program, and positions 11 through 20 store the name of the internal program.
This feature also requires defining values to a skeleton program named IMSVLB2 located in
the Implementer source file QSAMPLE. For detailed information on setting up to use a third
party save/restore utility, see “BRMS/400 Integration” on page 322.
Promotion Batch Step Test Mode (IMTSTMOD)
The IMTSTMOD data area controls when promotion batch steps are performed, and whether
they run in test mode or real mode. This feature is only useful for testing purposes and used
under the direction of MKS Customer Care. The data area values are as follows.
*NO The job continues as normal. This is the default value.
