Appendix A: Implementer Data Areas and User Exit Programs
406
The data area is located on both the host system and the remote system. Valid values are
*YES or *NO enclosed in quotes. The default value “*YES” uses passive mode. Set the value
to “*NO” to use non passive mode.
IMPORTANT Most users do not change this data area. You should change the value
only if your network configuration requires FTP transfers using non passive mode.
JDK Version (IMJDKVER)
The IMJDKVER data area relates to using MKS Integrity for issue management with
Implementer. The data area allows you to store the Java Development Kit (JDK) version to
use when using the Update MKS Integrity (IUPDCI) command to update MKS Integrity on
an AIX system. This is required only if the target MKS Integrity Server runs on an AIX system
(JDK version 1.4 is required on the client for communications).
The default data area value is ‘1.2’ enclosed in single quotes. To use the IUPDCI command
on an AIX system, you must install JDK version 1.4 on the iSeries, and change the IMJDKVER
data area value to ‘1.4’. On OS/400 V5R2, you can install JDK version 1.4 from the IBM
license product installation CD. On OS/400 V5R1, install JDK version 1.4 by ordering the
required PTFs from IBM.
NOTE For details on using MKS Integrity with Implementer, see “Implementer and
MKS Integrity Integration” on page 196.
Implementer Library Name (IMLIBRARY)
The IMLIBRARY data area contains the name of the Implementer product library. It is a 10character
data area. You must enclose the value in single quotes. The default value is
‘MKSIM’.
Change the data area value if you rename the Implementer library after initial installation, or
if you require a parallel installation of the product (two versions of Implementer on the same
system). When you install Implementer with a name other than MKSIM, the data area value
is appropriately set by the installation procedure.
NOTE If you have Implementer enabled for AllFusion 2E, (you received the
Implementer product from Computer Associates), the default product library is
Y2SYCM. When Implementer is installed with a name other thanY2SYCM, the
installation procedure appropriately sets the data area value.
Log Evoked Programs (IMLOGCL)
The IMLOGCL data area allows you to change the logging level on Implementer-evoked
jobs. The data area is located on both the host system and the remote system. It is useful
when a unique job description is not available for Implementer on the remote system, and
changing the logging level is not possible without impacting other users on the system.
