Chapter 7: Administrative Utilities 392 To select an environment 1 In the Environment list, click an environment. To select by environment type, enable the Environment types check box for the type of environments you want to view. To select a block of environments, click the first environment, and while pressing SHIFT, click the last environment. To omit selective environments, press CTRL and click the environments. To select multiple environments, press CTRL and click each environment. To select all environments, enable the Select ALL Environments option. To omit selective environments, press CTRL and click the environment. 2 Click Next. The Authority list displays, filtered by the specified environment type.
User Capability Details User Capability Wizard The authority types that display in the list are based on predefined templates that define the typical user groups associated with Implementer. You cannot change the standard authorities of these templates. To modify the standard values, see the Readme.txt in the installation directory. For information on authority types, see “Understanding Implementer” on page 9. The Custom authority allows you to override the standard defaults for any user. For information on this option, see “Customizing User Capabilities” on page 394. Click Detail to display the Capability Details list to view the authorities and options defined for each authority type. For details, see “User Capability Details” in the next section. Click Next to define this user with the standard rights and authorities associated with the selected authority type. The Confirm Selections dialog box displays. Proceed with “Updating the Implementer Database” on page 395. The Authority list allows you to define the functions a user type is allowed to access. You can view the authority details for any enrolled user. For a description of each capability, see “Environments and User Capabilities” on page 109. To view capability details for a user 1 Click an authority and then click Detail. The Capability Details list displays the standard capabilities for a specified authority type, by environment type. Use the scroll bar to view the capabilities settings. The only authority type you can modify is Custom Capability Group. 393
