5 From Windows Explorer, select and expand the drive you just mapped.
6 Double click capwiz.exe.
7 Follow the installation instructions presented on the screens. When you complete the
installation, you can begin using the Capability Wizard.
To install the Capability Wizard using the FTP method
1 At a command prompt, type FTP and press ENTER to display an ftp> prompt.
2 Type OPEN your_system_name and press ENTER. A message confirms, "Connected to
your_system_name".
3 A prompt displays requesting a user. Type a valid user ID for the system you opened in
step 2, and press ENTER.
4 A prompt displays requesting the password for the user ID specified in step 3. Type the
password and press ENTER.
5 Type bin and press ENTER. A message confirms "Representation type is binary
IMAGE".
6 Type quote site namefmt 1 and press ENTER. A message confirms you are using
naming format "1".
7 Type cd /MKS/Implementer/MKSIM and press ENTER. A message confirms, "Current
directory changed to /mks/Implementer/MKSIM".
NOTE The default product library name is MKSIM. If you changed the product
library to another name, substitute the changed name for MKSIM.
8 Type lcd c:/temp and press ENTER. A message confirms, "Local directory now
c:/temp". (You may need to create this directory if it does not exist.)
9 Type get capwiz.exe and press ENTER. The self-extracting installation executable
transfers to your PC into directory c:/temp.
10 Type quit and press ENTER to display the c:/ prompt.
11 Type cd c:/temp and press ENTER.
12 Type capwiz.exe and press ENTER.
13 Follow the installation instructions presented on the screens. When you complete the
installation, you can begin using the Capability Wizard.
Using the Capability Wizard
The Capability Wizard allows you to authorize Implementer users to perform specific
functions in the environments they work with.
