Density<br />

Specify the density of the tape. The default value is *DEVTYPE.<br />

Target release<br />

Specify the release level of the operating system for the saved objects. The default value is<br />

*CURRENT.<br />

Initialize tape<br />

Specify whether to initialize the tape before the save operation. If you specify *NO and the<br />

tape has the wrong volume ID, a message notifies you that the volume ID does not match.<br />

You must correct the error before continuing.<br />

Submit<br />

The default value *YES submits the job to batch processing. Specify *NO to process the job<br />

interactively.<br />

Job queue/Library<br />

The default values *PRODUCT/*LIBL assign the default job queue defined in System<br />

Control Maintenance. Change the values as needed.<br />

Hold on job queue<br />

Specify the standard OS/400 submit job value as needed.<br />

To restore an archive from tape<br />

1 From the Archives to Tape menu, select option 2, Restore Archives from Tape, or issue<br />

the IRSTARC command to display the Restore Archives from Tape (IRSTARC) command<br />

parameters.<br />

2 Specify the IRSTARC command parameters as described next, and press ENTER.<br />

TIP Review the archive reports described in the next section to easily locate the<br />

requests to restore.<br />

Restore Archives from Tape (IRSTARC) Command Parameters<br />

Request Number<br />

Specify the request number to restore, or specify *ALL to restore all requests on the tape for<br />

the specified environment.
