Repository Maintenance
This is useful, for example, if unexpected results occur after running the Build List for an
environment. You can modify an existing object code, such as change PFOBJ to PF after
locating the source, without having to rerun the Build List. The IFS command is useful for
loading IFS objects into the Implementer database.
Key Considerations
The Change Repository (ICHGREP) command allows you to add, change, or delete
object codes for traditional member/objects.
The Change Repository IFS (ICHGREPIFS) command allows you to add or delete object
codes for IFS objects. You cannot change IFS object codes, because the object code is
always the IFS extension (for example, .EXE) or the object short name.
You must have standard move authority for the environment being maintained to issue
the ICHGREP and ICHREPIFS commands.
To maintain the repository for traditional member/objects
At the command line, issue the following:
ICHGREP FUNCTION(*ADD, *CHG, *DLT)
NAME(MEMBER/OBJECT_NAME)
ENV(ENVIRONMENT_NAME)
OBJCODE(OBJECT_CODE_NAME)
NEWOBJCODE(NEW_OBJECT_CODE_NAME)
DLTDTA(Y, N)
NOTE The parameter NEWTYPE is valid only for the *CHG function.
To maintain the repository for IFS objects
At the command line, issue the following:
ICHGREPIFS FUNCTION(*ADD, *DLT)
OBJ(IFS_OBJECT_NAME)
ENV(ENVIRONMENT_NAME)
DLTDTA(Y, N)
