Setting Up Non Promotion Jobs
WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Integration
The following task describes how to set up Implementer to use ROBOT for scheduling non
promotion jobs.
To enable ROBOT scheduling
1 From the Implementer Menu, type option 45, System Control Maintenance, and press
ENTER.
2 Press PAGE DOWN to display the second panel.
3 In the Submission method for non-promotion functions field, type 2. This enables the use
of ROBOT for scheduling in place of standard OS/400 scheduling.
4 Press ENTER to save the change.
Setting Up Promotion Jobs
The following task describes how to set up a target environment for job scheduling with
ROBOT. For promotion requests that target multiple environments, the primary environment
controls whether ROBOT is used.
To setup target environments for ROBOT
1 From the Implementer Menu, type option 42, Environments, and press ENTER. The Work
with Environments panel displays.
2 Use option 13=Promotion scheduling to select an environment. The Change
Environment panel displays.
3 In the Job submitted by field, type 2 to specify ROBOT is used to schedule promotions to
the selected environment.
4 Press ENTER to process the update.

The IBM WebSphere® Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSc) plug-in for
Implementer allows users to access Implementer’s version control functions from within
Implementer-specific, context-sensitive menu options on the WDSc Remote System Explorer
(RSE) menu.
