Setting Up Non Promotion Jobs<br />

WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Integration<br />

The following task describes how to set up <strong>Implementer</strong> to use ROBOT for scheduling non<br />

promotion jobs.<br />

To enable ROBOT scheduling<br />

1 From the <strong>Implementer</strong> Menu, type option 45, System Control Maintenance, and press<br />

ENTER.<br />

2 Press PAGE DOWN to display the second panel.<br />

3 In the Submission method for non-promotion functions field, type 2. This enables the use<br />

of ROBOT for scheduling in place of standard OS/400 scheduling.<br />

4 Press ENTER to save the change.<br />

Setting Up Promotion Jobs<br />

The following task describes how to set up a target environment for job scheduling with<br />

ROBOT. For promotion requests that target multiple environments, the primary environment<br />

controls whether ROBOT is used.<br />

To setup target environments for ROBOT<br />

1 From the <strong>Implementer</strong> Menu, type option 42, Environments, and press ENTER. The Work<br />

with Environments panel displays.<br />

2 Use option 13=Promotion scheduling to select an environment. The Change<br />

Environment panel displays.<br />

3 In the Job submitted by field, type 2 to specify ROBOT is used to schedule promotions to<br />

the selected environment.<br />

4 Press ENTER to process the update.<br />

WebSphere Development Studio Client for<br />

iSeries Integration<br />

The IBM WebSphere® Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSc) plug-in for<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> allows users to access <strong>Implementer</strong>’s version control functions from within<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong>-specific, context-sensitive menu options on the WDSc Remote System Explorer<br />

(RSE) menu.<br />
