PeopleSoft World Integration
Before using PathFinder information with Implementer, in Work with Environments you
must define each environment that PathFinder documents. In addition, you must run the
PathFinder “Build Object Cross Reference” for each library defined within the environments.
For more information on this function, see the PathFinder User Manual and online help.
Once PathFinder is enabled, related object information is available in check out to help
determine the members/objects impacted by a planned change. When items are checked
back into the environments documented by PathFinder, you can specify to add related
objects to the request. This analysis is done using the information previously loaded into
PathFinder.
NOTE Hawkeye does not currently support cross-environment related object
processing for objects that exist in *QAC environments.
To define Pathfinder for an environment
1 From the Implementer Menu, type option 42, Environments, and press ENTER. The Work
with Environments panel displays.
2 Select the environment with option 2=Change and press ENTER.
3 Press PAGE DOWN to access the second panel.
4 In the Maintain related obj info field, type Y.
5 In the Source of information field, type 2 for PathFinder.
IMPORTANT PathFinder does not currently support ILE programs in the Real Time
X-Ref Update (REALUPD) command. However, Implementer allows you to bypass
the attempted real time update for these objects to prevent errors on promotions.
Data area IMBNDUPD in the Implementer product library is shipped with a value
of N to bypass the update. Once you receive a version of PathFinder that supports
ILE programs, change the value of this data area to Y. When the data area is set to N,
Implementer does not update the PathFinder database for ILE programs; thus, run
normal PathFinder updates regularly to keep your data current.
PeopleSoft World Integration
The Implementer Adapter for PeopleSoft World (formerly J.D. Edwards) manages PeopleSoft
World applications. The interface is available by purchasing and installing the separately
licensed Implementer Adapter for PeopleSoft World software. The integration requires a
specific license key for activation.
