Requirements
This help desk integration requires the following:
DTBridge is installed and configured. DTBridge is delivered with Implementer
Help Desk Integration
DesignTracker is installed and configured as your issue management application (you
must not be using MKS Integrity for issue tracking). DesignTracker is delivered with
Implementer.
SupportCenter 3.2 is installed; however this requirement does not force you to use
SupportCenter as your help desk application. SupportCenter is required for the use of
the call header file, which is populated with the data extracted from your help desk
database when the update runs. SupportCenter is delivered with Implementer. If
SupportCenter is your help desk application, this guide assumes it is configured. If
SupportCenter is not your help desk solution, this guide assumes that a different help
desk product is configured.
Setting Up the Help Desk Integration
These instructions assume that Implementer, DesignTracker, DTBridge, and SupportCenter
are installed and configured. In addition, you must perform the following setup in the
DTBridge properties file prior to running the Associate Calls Update program.
DTBridge Properties Setup
The DTBridge properties file (DTBridge.properties) contains the application control
properties for the Associate Calls functionality and a few other integrations. The DT Call
Association properties relate to the Associate Calls Update program. For details on
DTBridge, see “Installing DTBridge” on page 135.
To start DTBridge Console and configure the DTBridge properties file
1 Click Start > Programs > MKS Implementer > DTBridge Console. The DTBridge Console
window displays. Notice the Status bar indicates DTBridge is not active.
2 Click File > Setup from the menu. The Edit DTBridge Setup properties file displays.
The properties file is organized by functional area. The help desk integration requires
input in the DT Call Association Properties only.
At the beginning of each section the properties are listed with a brief description and
example. At the end of each section, the property displays again as property name=x.
Instructions and examples are also included within the DTBridge properties file.
3 Configure the properties as described in the following table. Define OS/400 values using
upper case syntax. When defining the property value, type the value as follows:
property name=property value
