To create the user-defined options
Access PDM to create the user-defined options that access CODE/400 from the Implementer
Workbench.
For example, to invoke CODE/400 to edit a source member, create an option defined with the
following command syntax:
where:
Call qcode/evfcfdbk parm('37' 'Y' 'OS400' ' CODEEDIT
"&L/&F (&N)"')
Value Description
37 Coded character set identifier (CCSID) used to send information to the
desktop.
Y Specify Y to display a message, or N to bypass messages.
OS400 Specify the type of server to log messages in the command shell. If the OS/400
server is not defined, you may get an error in the command shell.
Specify the CODE/400 server location, or (empty brackets) to use the first
active CODE/400 server.
CODEEDIT Specify the command to run on the desktop (indicated by ). You must
enclose the command in double quotes. The command options are:
CODEBRWS to browse.
CODEEDIT to edit.
CODEDSU to design (screens).
"&L/&F (&N)" &L is the library.
&F is the source file.
&N is the member name.
Must have a blank space between &F and (&N) to correctly substitute the
source file.
Help Desk Integration
Implementer integrates with open help desk and Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) applications, providing the ability to associate calls that are logged in a help desk
software package with DesignTracker design requests (DR) and service requests (SR).
You can use MKS SupportCenter or any other help desk software that has an ODBC (Open
Database Connectivity) or JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) accessible database.
