BPCS Integration
If all compiles use BPCS commands or programs, you must change the standard object
codes delivered with Implementer.
If some compiles do not use BPCS commands or programs, you must create new object
codes for the BPCS compiles and retain the standard object codes for the non BPCS
compiles.
For information on making these changes, see “Setting Up Object Codes” on page 321.
BPCS provides programs for compiling, rather than using the standard IBM creation
commands like CRTCLPGM. The BPCS compilation commands, such as CLCRTCLP, cannot
be called directly because these commands submit the compile. The Implementer compile
step requires the program or command used for compilation running within the
Implementer submitted compile job (the command cannot submit a different job). For this
reason, BPCS compiles within Implementer are performed using the BPCS programs
submitted by the BPCS compile commands, not by the command itself.
BPCS supports compiling the following source types.
Source Type BPCS Programs Existing New
CLP CLCRTCLP CLP CLPB
DSPF CRTDSPLY2 DSPF DSPFB
LF CLCRTLFILE LF LFB
PF CLCRTPFILE PF PFB
PRTF CLCRTPRTF PRTF PRTFB
RPG CLRPG RPG RPGB
The BPCS programs have the same first four parameters as follows:
object-name (#OBJECT)
to-library (#PGMLIB or #FILLIB)
source-file-name (#SRCFIL)
source-library (#SRCLIB)
Setting Up Object Codes
Change the object codes as follows. For details, see “Object Codes” on page 127.
