Chapter 6: Third Party Integrations
ABSTRACT Integration
304
Implementer’s integration with ABSTRACT does not require additional setup. For
information on using the integration, see the MKS Implementer 2006 User Guide.
AllFusion 2E Change Management Integration
The Implementer Adapter for AllFusion 2E Change Management (CM) is a separately
licensed product that provides change control for AllFusion 2E developed applications and
traditionally developed (3GL) applications. Implementer is compatible with AllFusion 2E
release 8.1 and earlier. The integration requires a specific license key to activate.
The procedures required for setting up the integration, including:
considerations for libraries and commands
understanding basic concepts
considerations for EXCUSRPGM and EXCUSRSRC
support for SQL
Considerations for Libraries and Commands
Basic Concepts
While following the setup steps described in this chapter, keep in mind the following product
and library considerations. If you received the Implementer product from Computer
Associates and it is enabled for AllFusion 2E change management:
The host library default name is Y2SYCM (not MKSIM).
The remote library default name is Y2SYCR (not MKSIR).
Use the STRCM command in place of the Start Implementer (STRIM) command.
Use the STRCR command in place of the Start Implementer Receiver (STRIR) command.
You must know a few basic concepts to understand how change management occurs for
AllFusion 2E developed applications. These concepts are described briefly next and
expanded upon later.
