3 Specify a valid user ID for the system you opened in step 2, and press ENTER. A prompt<br />

displays requesting the password for the specified user ID.<br />

4 Type the password, and press ENTER.<br />

5 Type bin, and press ENTER. A message confirms the representation type is binary image.<br />

6 Type quote site namefmt 1, and press ENTER. A message confirms that naming<br />

format 1 is enabled.<br />

7 Type cd /mks/<strong>Implementer</strong>/<strong>MKS</strong>IM, and press ENTER. A message confirms the current<br />

directory changed, for example, /mks/<strong>Implementer</strong>/<strong>MKS</strong>IM.<br />

NOTE The default, product library name is <strong>MKS</strong>IM. If you changed the product<br />

library to another name, substitute the changed name for <strong>MKS</strong>IM.<br />

8 Type lcd C:/temp, and press ENTER. A message confirms the local directory is C:/<br />

temp. (You may need to create this directory if it does not exist.)<br />

9 Type get dtbridge.exe, and press ENTER. The self-extracting installation executable<br />

transfers into directory C:/temp on your PC.<br />

10 Type quit, and press ENTER. The C:/ prompt displays.<br />

11 Type cd C:/temp, and press ENTER.<br />

12 Type dtbridge.exe, and press ENTER. The default installation directory is:<br />

C:/Program Files/<strong>MKS</strong>/<strong>Implementer</strong>/DTBridge<br />

You can change the destination directory during the installation if required.<br />

13 Follow the installation wizard to complete the installation.<br />

Configuring DTBridge Components and Properties<br />

This section explains how to configure the DTBridge components required for the<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> and <strong>MKS</strong> Source integration described in this chapter, as well as the help desk<br />

integration described in “Help Desk Integration” on page 324. The setup involves:<br />

granting authority to an <strong>Implementer</strong> file<br />

defining DTBridge properties file<br />

The DTBridge properties file contains the application control parameters for several<br />

integrations. Based on the integration you are configuring, the applicable properties must be<br />

defined prior to using DTBridge.<br />

The export feature described in this chapter uses the DTSystemName, DTUser, and<br />

DTPassword properties to connect to the iSeries and perform the required processing on the<br />

iSeries system specified in the DTSystemName property. The CIBuildNumberField is used<br />
