Implementer and MKS Source Integration
Starting with production and moving toward QA1, perform product/version/
environment maintenance (use an existing or create a new product/version/
environment) and activate MKS Source archiving for the environment, which creates
and populates an environment subproject in MKS Source. This task begins on page 286.
A chronological checklist of the tasks required to configure the Implementer and MKS Source
integration is provided page 296. MKS recommends you use the checklist to ensure you
complete each required task in the order described.
NOTE The Implementer Server must be active for successful communications with
MKS Source. For information on reloading the server with current configuration
and environment information if communications fail, see “Managing Implementer
Server” on page 223.
Defining MKS Source Values in Implementer
You activate the integration and define the MKS Source communication parameters in
Implementer on the MKS Source Setup panel.
Your Implementer user profile must have authority to maintain System Control Maintenance
(defined in Work with Users) to change the default values on the MKS Source Setup panel.
Without this authority, changes to the panel are not allowed.
To define MKS Source values in Implementer and activate the integration
