Converting From DesignTracker to MKS Integrity
For example, a user who is set up to use DesignTracker tries to check out or promote using
number 12345—by range, an MKS Integrity issue number—receives an error. Likewise, if a
user attempts to create a new DR by using either the menu option or the Create Design
Request (DTCRTDR) command, Implementer verifies the new DR number is within the valid
DR number range—if the number is not valid, then creating the DR is not allowed.
Displaying the basic description or details of an issue or DR does not require enrollment in
the specific issue management system.
Changing the last allowed DR number value is allowed only if MKS Integrity is the default
issue tracking system and DesignTracker co-existence is enabled. The value automatically
sets to 99999—the highest possible DR number—when you convert to MKS Integrity and
enable co-existence. Before processing any DRs or issues, you must change this number to
another value based on your data. Thereafter, avoid changing it to eliminate a possible
conflict with existing issues, or DRs that you may subsequently convert to issues.
IMPORTANT You must specify a Last allowed DR number value that allows for all
expected growth in DR usage until DesignTracker is retired, as there is no way to
change this number once you use an MKS Integrity issue.
The following task requires you have successfully completed the conversion to
MKS Integrity and enabled the option to co-exist with DesignTracker.
To change the last allowed DR number
1 From the Implementer Menu, type option 47, MKS Integrity, and press ENTER.
Alternatively, on the command line issue the command STRIM *INTMGRSET. The
MKS Integrity Setup panel displays.
2 Press PAGE DOWN to display the second MKS Integrity Setup panel.
