Converting From DesignTracker to MKS Integrity
Verify the MKS Integrity user responsible for creating promotion requests in
MKS Integrity is defined in Implementer and has the required capabilities, for example,
the capability to create and submit promotion requests for the applicable environments.
Define the IEXCCMDUSR data area as described next.
Change the IEXCCMDUSR Data Area
The Command Capability Check Profile (IEXCCMDUSR) data area is used for capability
checking. The data area stores the name of the single user profile that is allowed to issue the
Run MKS Integrity Server (IEXCCMDIS) command that is embedded in the JavaScript file.
The user profile you specify in this data area must be the same user profile specified in the
JavaScript file for the userProfile variable (for details, see page 213). This user profile is used
only for this feature; thus, it is not necessary to define the profile in Implementer or
MKS Integrity. For this reason, consider creating a new profile for this specific purpose, for
example, iSeries.
CAUTION Embedded commands in the script fail if you do not associate the
MKS Integrity user ID to an Implementer user profile.
To change the IEXCCMDUSR data area value
1 Type the following command:
CHGDTAARA DTAARA(IEXCCMDUSR) VALUE(user_profile_name)
where user_profile_name is the user specified in the script.
2 Press ENTER to update the data area.
You are now ready to convert from DesignTracker to MKS Integrity as described next.
Converting From DesignTracker to MKS Integrity
When you initially install Implementer or upgrade from a release prior to release 5.3,
DesignTracker is the default issue management system. To use Implementer with
MKS Integrity as described in this chapter, you must convert issue management systems and
activate MKS Integrity to establish it as the default system.
When you convert from DesignTracker to MKS Integrity, you have the option to use
MKS Integrity only, or to use MKS Integrity and DesignTracker concurrently on a transitional
basis. With either option, the eventual result is the elimination of DesignTracker as a
production application.
