*RESUME Reconnects the JDBC to the Implementer database. Re-enables requests
to Implementer.
*STATUS When Implementer server is active, reports the current status of the
server and related job information.
*RELOAD Reloads Implementer server with current information. Use manually to
reload configuration information, or programmatically to reload
environment information for MKS Source integration.
Job Queue/Library
Specify the name of the job queue and corresponding library that Implementer server runs in.
The server job activates in this job queue. The default value is IMCOM, a job queue delivered
in the Implementer product library MKSIM. These parameters are required for the *START
command option.
Managing Implementer Server on a PC
The Implementer Server service starts automatically when the PC starts. If you need to
manually start the server, from the Windows Control Panel in the System Administration
group, use the Services application to start the MKS Implementer Server service (or the
service name you specified if you changed the default value).
Managing Implementer Server on UNIX
You must perform the following steps when starting Implementer Server. You can optionally
automate this task by including the steps in the system startup script.
To execute Implementer Server on UNIX
1 Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to identify the root location of the JRE.
a) If the Java executable is located in /usr/local/java/jre-1.4.1_02/bin/java,
then set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to /usr/local/java/jre-
1.4.1_02.
b) Optional: You can update the runserver.sh script to include a hard coded
reference to the JAVA_HOME variable.
2 Do one of the following:
If you enabled the execute permission bit in setup, then invoke the runserver.sh
script directly from the command line.
If you did not enable the execute permission bit in setup, then invoke the
runserver.sh script by invoking sh runserver.sh.
