Managing Implementer Server
The Implementer Server runs based on the values you have defined in Implementer Menu
option 49, Implementer Server. To ensure sufficient access to the Implementer database, the
server job runs under the Implementer user profile MWIPROD.
The server must be active for successful communications with MKS Integrity and
MKS Source. When you install the server on the iSeries, the Implementer Server Control
(ICTLSVR) command allows you to start, stop, suspend, and resume the server. The reload
option allows you to reload the server with current configuration and environment
information if communications failed initially. The command also provides status and job
information when the server is active.
MKS recommend you add the ICTLSVR command to your normal daily startup routine to
ensure it activates on IPL (Initial Program Load) by the QSTRTUP program. The user profile
that issues the ICTLSVR command must have authority to System Control Maintenance.
Whenever you make a change to the MKS Integrity Server, for example, changes to
workflow, workflow authorities, or state capabilities, you must restart Implementer Server.

NOTE The Implementer data area IMSRVJVA provides the ability to customize
certain aspects of Implementer Server. However, this is usually not necessary;
therefore, MKS recommends you change the data area values only when instructed
by MKS Customer Care.
ICTLSVR Command Parameters
Command
Specify the command action to perform.
*START Activates the server. The server job runs under the default user profile
MWIPROD. This option is not available if the server is running on a PC.
*STOP Shuts down the server. You must stop the server to upgrade or reinstall
Implementer.
*SUSPEND Disconnects the JDBC connections from the Implementer database to
release resources. Disables requests to Implementer by returning a soft
error. This allows you to secure a backup of the Implementer product
library.
