<strong>Implementer</strong><br />

User<br />

To modify the <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Server configuration file<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> and <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Integration<br />

IMPORTANT The IntegrityClientSite.rc communications file is located in the<br />

default installation directory of the <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Server and the default installation<br />

directory of each <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Client. You must modify the file in each location. To<br />

allow a developer to update the communications file on their desktop, the<br />

instructions for updating the <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Client are also included in the<br />

<strong>MKS</strong> <strong>Implementer</strong> <strong>2006</strong> User <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />

1 Using Notepad or a similar text editor, open file IntegrityClientSite.rc as follows:<br />

On the <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Server, the file is located in the directory /config/client.<br />

On the <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity Client, the file is located in /<strong>MKS</strong>/IntegrityClient.<br />

2 Verify the following line is not commented out:<br />

daemon.connectionPolicy=mks.ic.common.policy.ICAllowSpecificConne<br />

ctionPolicy<br />

3 Add or update the following statement:<br />

daemon.validConnectionList=127.0.0.1,xxx.x.x.x<br />

where xxx.x.x.x is the IP address of <strong>Implementer</strong> Server.<br />

4 Save the file and exit.<br />

Administrator Perform initial setup.<br />

Activate integration and<br />

communications between<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> and <strong>MKS</strong> Integrity.<br />

Developer Select issues.<br />

View and edit issues from the Select<br />

Issue or Multiple Issues panel.<br />

View the issue summary and URL<br />

location of an issue.<br />

Perform initial setup.<br />

Activate integration and<br />

communications between<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> and <strong>MKS</strong> Source.<br />

Activate <strong>MKS</strong> Source archiving for<br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> products.<br />

Create development path in<br />

<strong>MKS</strong> Source.<br />

Populate <strong>MKS</strong> Source projects.<br />

Checkpoint projects.<br />

Check out a specific revision.<br />

Copy from specified environment and<br />

select highest revision.<br />

View member history and annotated<br />

views from within the Workbench,<br />

Work with Objects, and WDSc.<br />
