MKS Integrity (formerly MKS Integrity Manager®) is a highly customizable, process and
workflow management tool.
Any simple defect tracking tool can record the status of a change request, but it does not
monitor all the components that need to be modified, or the variety of tasks that need to be
performed to resolve the issue. MKS Integrity extends the concept of defect tracking to
include support for managing components, tasks, and workflow. This is particularly
important when your organization has implemented a Software Configuration Management
(SCM) process for the proposal, review, and approval of all software changes.
Change packages can also aid in the review of source code. By grouping together all changed
members in a change package, developers can easily locate and retrieve the members they
need to review.
As part of the Implementer integration, MKS Integrity allows you to correlate issues with
change packages that result from Implementer-managed development.
A change package allows you to specify groups of member/objects that are affected by an
issue, for example, a solution’s change package might contain programs that need to be
changed in order to correct a problem. This helps to ensure that no hidden features or
changes enter the product.
