Key Considerations
Controlling Remote Job Schedules
The distribution step must be separate from the move step (from Implementer Menu
option 6, Move Requests by System/Environment, use option 10=Distribute).
The remote target environment must be set up to allow remote initiated moves (in Work
with Environments).
Remote Job Scheduling
Complete the following setup tasks to use remote job scheduling:
define remote environment to allow remote-initiated moves
define remote environments with a default move time
on each remote system, create a routine job that issues the Move Remote Request
(IMOVRMTRQS) command for all requests
To define a remote environment for remote initiated moves
1 From the Implementer Menu, select option 42, Environments and press ENTER. The
Work with Environments panel displays.
2 Select the remote environment with option 2=Change.
3 Press PAGE DOWN twice to display the third Change Environment panel.
