180
To create an Implementer-specific directory entry
Issue the following command:
ADDDIRE USRID(MWIPROD remote-system-name)
USRD('Implementer on remote-system-name')
SYSNAME(remote-location-name)
Add a Directory Entry for MWIPROD
For remote distributions, you must include a directory entry for the MWIPROD user profile.
Specify the user profile on the remote iSeries where the Implementer Receiver receives
changes.
To create the directory entry
Issue the following command:
ADDDIRE USRID(MWIPROD remote-system-name)
USRD('Implementer')
USER(MWIPROD)
Distribution Options
This section describes some options you have for controlling the promotions to remote
systems.
Single Step Distribution
Implementer can distribute and apply changes to one or more remote systems in a single step
(on one request). You are not required to sign on to the remote system to apply the changes.
After Implementer sends the changes to the remote system, it immediately executes an APPC
program to apply the changes to the target libraries. If it is necessary to redistribute from the
host, you can redistribute an existing promotion request without creating a new promotion
request. From the Move Requests selection panel, use option 10=Redistribute.
Two Step Distribution
You can distribute objects to a remote system in one step and move the objects into the target
libraries in a second step. The second step can be initiated from the host system or the remote
system.
