Chapter 3: Implementer Administration 134 AS/SET Integration The following special characteristic codes are for managing AS/SET definitions. Object Codes for DDM Support Object Codes Implementer supports the management of Distributed Data Management (DDM) software. For this purpose, you must create three new object codes: DDMDTAA, DDMDTAQ, and following table. To create this object code ... copy this object code ... and specify this Object Attribute DDMDTAA DTAARA DDMDTAARA DDMDTAQ DTAQ DDMDTAQUE DDMF PF DDMF For more information on managing DDM software, see “Using Special Commands to Manage DDM Software” in the MKS Implementer 2006 User Guide. Object Codes for IFS Objects Implementer provides a variety of default object codes for managing IFS directories and files. When you need to use an object code that does not exist, you can create an IFS object code the same as a traditional object code in Work with Object Codes, or you can define Implementer to automatically create them when you check out or create a promotion request. The latter option requires activation in System Control Maintenance as described in “Allow IFS object code creation from Check Out and Create Rqs” on page 68. Object codes defined with a special characteristic of PCFILE display the PC file extension name in the Creation command field. When you display a PCFILE or PCDIR object code, the Creation command field name changes to IFS Object Extension. When you edit or copy an IFS object code the field name is Creation command. Due to the way that Implementer matches the object code for files with long extensions to the short form in the object code, MKS recommends you deactivate (rather than delete) obsolete object codes to ensure the retention of accurate history. NOTE Implementer supports Document Library Objects (DLO) within the IFS and automatically retains all DLO attributes and characteristics during promotion. However, because the Move Object (MOV) command used to move QDLS and IFS objects from the staging directory to the target directory does not support spanning ASPs, the promotion of QDLS and DLO objects must run in the system Auxiliary Store Pool (ASP) ASP1.
