Chapter 3: Implementer Administration
132
Field Description
Object Code Field Descriptions
Archive in MKS Source Specify whether to archive the source for this object code in MKS Source.
Requires active integration between Implementer and MKS Source. By
default, source-based object codes and those with a special
characteristic of PCFILE are set for archiving in MKS Source. Non
source-based object codes and those with a special characteristic of
PCDIR are not eligible for archiving in MKS Source.
Y=Yes: Archives source for the object code if the target environment is
eligible. Valid only for source-based object codes and those with
special characteristic PCFILE. This is the default value.
N=No: Does not archive source for the object code. Required value for
non source-based object codes and those with special characteristic
PCDIR.
For details, see “Implementer and MKS Source Integration” on page 259.
Creation command Specify the OS/400 command required to create an object or perform the
migration task for the object code. Implementer replaces any substitution
variables (references to objects within the creation command) with the
actual names and libraries associated with the implementation request.
The valid substitution variables are as follows:
#FILLIB: For creation process C, substitutes the temporary work library
where the request’s files and program objects are moved or compiled
into. For compile=Y requests, objects do not exist until successfully
compiled. Changing the authorities of objects in this library does not
affect the authority of the object in the target environment. For creation
process M, substitutes the target library.
#FRMLIB: For creation process C, substitutes the temporary work
library where the request’s files and program objects are moved or
compiled into. For compile=Y requests, the objects do not exist until
successfully compiled. For creation process M, substitutes the work
library created for the request. Changing authorities of objects in this
library does not affect authority of objects in the target environment.
#OBJECT: Substitutes the current member/object name at the time of
promotion.
#OBJNM9: Substitutes the current, short object name at the time of
promotion.
#PGMLIB: Same as #FRMLIB.
#SRCFIL: Substitutes the source file name of the promoted item. For
creation process C, it is the same as #WRKSRCFIL. For creation
process M, it is the target source file.
#SRCLIB: Substitutes the target source library of the promoted item.
For creation process C, it is the work source library. For creation
process M, it is the target source library.
#SRCMBR: Substitutes the source member name of the promoted
item.
a The value specified here is only used as the default value when creating new environment object code
overrides. You can override it at the environment level. Changing this value affects overrides created
from this point forward, it does not affect existing overrides. For details, see “Removing Source and
Objects After Promotion” on page 92.
