Field Description
Object Code Field Descriptions
Object authority Specify whether to keep object authority of existing object or assign
based on the target environment definition.
Object Codes
*KEEP: Retains authority of the object in the target environment. If the
object does not exist in the target environment, then *GRANT is
assigned. This is the default value.
*GRANT: Grants authority to the object based on the target
environment. Assigns the object owner as defined in the Obj Owner
field on the Change Environment panel. Assigns object authorities
based on the list of authorities on the Work with Environments - Object
Authorities panel. Ignores existing authorities if object exists in the
target environment library.
Remove obj in from env Specify whether to delete objects of this type in the From environment
after successful promotion. a
Remove src in from env Specify whether to delete the source for objects of this type in the From
environment after successful promotion. a
Creation process Specify when to issue the creation command:
C=Compile: Creation command runs during the Compile Requests
function. Most object codes delivered with Implementer have this
creation process.
Use this for: objects requiring compilation, duplicating or moving
objects into production, creating a new object, replacing an existing
object. Implementer places the object/source member into a work
library before the move. Move Requests function replaces the existing
object and/or source member. During the move, Implementer executes
the commands required to move the object or source member into the
environment library. This is the default value.
M=Move: Creation command runs during the Move Requests function.
Use this only to copy source members and execute commands that
directly change production database files, such as conversion
programs or copying data. During the compile step, Implementer does
not perform any action on items with this object code. Use this process
only for object codes that leave the existing object and/or source
member in place and simply change or affect the object or member, for
example, object codes CHGPGM or CHGPRTF, or CPYF command
when promoting data in a file.
