3 Complete the fields as described in “Object Code Field Descriptions” on page 129 and
press ENTER.
4 On the Object Code Override Defaults window, the activation reply options pertain to
the action you performed: create, change, or reactivate. Select one of the following values
and press ENTER.
A=All: Activates to all environments. Use this when the object code is valid for all or
most environments. You can selectively deactivate it for any environment as
needed. Valid for actions create, change, and delete.
N=None: Does not activate to any environment. Use this when few environments
use the object code. You can selectively activate it for any environment as needed.
Valid for actions create and reactivate.
K=Keep: Activates the object code to the environments it was previously active to.
Use this when reactivating an object code and the environments it was previously
active to has not significantly changed. Valid for actions change and reactivate.
Field Description
Object Code Field Descriptions
Object code Specify the name of the object code. The code relates to the source
member type, not the OS/400 object type.
Object codes for IFS files must begin with a dot (.) and can be followed
by a character string. Object codes for IFS directories must begin with a
backward slash (\). If the directory name has an extension, define the
object code with a backward slash followed by a dot and the extension.
For example, the object code for directory DIR.ONE is \.ONE.
