Chapter 3: <strong>Implementer</strong> <strong>Administration</strong> 104 2 Press F6=Create to display the Expanded Command Display panel. 3 Complete the fields as described in “Expanded Command Display Field Descriptions” on page 105. 4 Press ENTER to save the special command. The Expanded Command Display panel displays blank. Create additional special commands, or press F12 to display the Work with Environments panel. The panel displays the special command you created. 5 Press ENTER again to permanently save the new special command. The Work with Environments panel displays. Global Special Commands You define global special commands for environments by using the *ALL option. This option applies to all environments currently defined, as well as new environments you may add later. To create a special command for all environments 1 From Work with Environments, press F10=*ALL Special Commands. The Work with Environment Special Commands panel displays. Any existing special commands display on this panel. Notice the Environment field defaults to *ALL.
2 Press F6=Create to display the Expanded Command Display panel. Environments 3 Complete the fields as described in the following table, and press ENTER to add the command. Field Description Expanded Command Display Field Descriptions For Action Specify which promotion step processes the special command. The default value is blank. 1=Compile: Special command runs in the compile stage. 2=Dist-Host: Special command runs in the distribution stage on the host system. 3=Dist-Rcvr: Special command runs in the distribution stage on the remote system. 4=Move: Special command runs in the move stage. For promotions that target a remote system, the special command occurs where the move occurs. 5=Move-Host: Special command runs on the system where the request originated, after successful distribution. This option is meaningful for promotions that target a remote system. 6=Checkout: Special command runs in check out. When to do Specify when, during the selected For Action, to issue the special command. 1=Before: Special command runs before the specified For Action. 2=After-OK: Special command runs after the specified For Action successfully completes. 3=After Fail: Special command runs after the specified For Action fails. 105
