Environments
In the Entry field, type the environment name or press F4=Prompt to select from a
list of environments.
Special Command Processing
Implementer’s special commands feature allows you to define commands or programs that
process each time a promotion targets a specified environment. You can define special
commands to run on an environment basis, or globally for all environments.
Implementer uses the environment library list when issuing the special commands.
Therefore, if you have any unqualified object references in the command, you must include
in the environment library list each library where the objects are located. The special
command must exist in the environment library list (defined in Work with Environments) for
each environment.
NOTE You can use substitution variables within your command, and add comments
to the special commands to make them self-documenting. Comments can display
either before or after the command, and they must be in brackets, for example,
/* This is a comment */
For details on special commands and substitution variables, see the
MKS Implementer 2006 User Guide.
To define special commands for an environment
1 From the Work with Environments panel, type option 19=Special commands next to the
environment and press ENTER. The Work with Environment Special Commands panel
displays. Any existing special commands display on this panel.
