- Uni~eni ~leni morajo biti zamenjani.
Slika 7
- verige brez identifikacijske plo{~ice
Verige pred skladi{~enjem narahlo naoljite.
VZDR@EVANJE: Morebitna popravila bremenskih verig se opravljajo pri
proizvajalcu in v njihovih poobla{~enih servisih. Popravljajo le tiste bremenske
verige, na katerih so navedeni izdelovalec, nosilnost in material.
Popravila na spojih niso dovoljena. Popravilo bremenskih verig mora biti
brezhibno.
Fixing of cargo with lifting chains is planned before lifting or releasing
of cargo.
- Cargo weight must not exceed the load bearing capacity of lifting chain.
- Load bearing capacity of lifting chains complies with the table above.
- Chains must not be overloaded. Make sure that you have taken into
account the right angle for lifting. If you are not sure if lifting is safe, use
a stronger chain.
- If you use more lifting chains, you have to fix them under an angle of up
to ß = 0°.
Fig. 1
When using more lifting chains at the same time, all chains must have the
same load bearing capacity.
- Load bearing capacity of lifting chains is . -times bigger than indicated
on the identification tag.
- Avoid vibrations or jerking.
- Lifting chains must not be knotted (must not have knots).
- When lifting cargo with sharp edges or rough surface use lifting chains
only if you have secured endangered area with pads and side protectors.
- Shorten lifting chains only by using shortening links. Do not shorten
chains by making knots.
- Always fix load in the middle of the hook.
- Hooks which are not used during lifting must hang on a hang link.
- Provide free movement of hang link and hook.
- Immediately replace damaged parts.
- If you drag the cargo on the ground, lifting chain must not be underneath
the cargo.
- Lifting chains must be fixed so that load is distributed along the entire
width of the chain.
Fig. 2
- Cargo must not be put on a lifting chain.
- Cargo must not rotate during lifting.
- When lifting, take into account the centre of gravity of the load to prevent
sudden turns and slippages of cargo.
Fig. 3
- In the case cargo is lifted by stretching, the cargo must be wrapped up
first in order to prevent the chain from slipping.
Fig. 4
- In the case you do not use all legs of a multi-leg lifting chains, free legs
have to be fixed in the hang link. Load bearing capacity is reduced to the
values indicated in the table.
CHEMICALS: In the case lifting chains are used in an aggressive environment,
in the presence of chemicals or explosives, consult the producers
before the use.
TEMPERATURES: For the use of chains made from the material of the
class at high temperatures, take into account the values indicated in
the table.
Chains and accessories of the class must not be used at temperatures
not indicated in the table. This temperature span can be changed in the
presence of chemicals which can damage the lifting chains.
REGULAR INSPECTION: Regular inspection is necessary. Lifting chains
must be inspected by an expert at least once a year and in the case
when this is necessary. Lifting chains must be inspected by the producer
or its authorized representative every two years. Lifting chains damaged
to the extent which endanger safety must not be used, and this is why
lifting chains must be regularly inspected. Data on inspections of lifting
chains should be entered into the table enclosed with the instructions.
REMOVAL FROM SERVICE: Remove lifting chains from service because
of:
- Visible damage to the chain: bended, cracked or crushed links must be
removed from service immediately.
Fig. 5
- A chain link must not be worn out more than 0% of the diameter.
Fig. 6
- Destroyed links must be replaced.
Fig. 7
- Links which are open 0% or more
- Hooks without locks, except for container hooks
- incisions, tears, deformations on the chain or other parts
- deformations because of heating (for example: friction)
- damage from chemicals
- chains without the identification tag
Lifting chains with all mentioned damages (deformations, fractures,
tears,...) should be removed from service and replaced with new lifting
chains.
CLEANING: If lifting chain comes in contact with acid or lye, use a neutralising
agent – water or other adequate substance. Hang wet or moist
chains to dry in air. Oil chains periodically. Take into account applicable
regulations on occupational safety.
STORAGE: Lifting chains which are not in use must be stored at a stainless
and clean shelf, in a dry and ventilated space. Lifting chains have to
be kept away from heat, chemicals, flue gas, and corrosive surfaces. Oil
chains before storage.
MAINTENANCE: Possible repair of lifting chains have to be carried out
by the producer in its authorised services. The services will repair only
lifting chains which have a label indicating the producer, load bearing
capacity and material. Repairs of joints are not allowed. Repair of lifting
chains must be carried out properly.
