Famous American writer John Steinbeck and press photographer Robert Capa traveled in the
Soviet Union in 1947. The travel originated A Russian Journal, a book which was published in
New York in 1948. The book was banned in the Soviet Union. It is more than 60 years from the
publishing of the book. The film responds to this date.

Film critic, doctor of science in art history and theory Oliko Zhghenti was
graduated from the faculty of fine arts of Tbilisi State University. She has
been working with the University of Theatre and Film of Tbilisi. She has
published many scientific papers and articles and is an author of a book
“National and Social Issues in the Georgian Cinema of 20-ies” (2007).
Oliko Zhghenti has been working on the documentary films project of
“Famous People in Caucasus”.
