Figure 4 illustrates the overall thermal sensation expressed by the two groups of subjects.<br />

Note there were no significant differences at the beginning of the tests while the discrepancies<br />

between the two groups increased with exposure duration (p=0.05), while at the same time,<br />

the local thermal judgment of the feet did not differ systematically between the two groups.<br />

The statistical analysis revealed the results in Table 2, which clearly indicate the gender<br />

differences in local skin temperatures. In addition to the foot skin temperatures, the hand<br />

index skin temperature is also reported here, because we also found that effect especially<br />

interesting.<br />
