Distribution: Wide-ranging but sporadically distributed<br />

in all temperate and tropical seas, in the<br />

area off French Guiana and Suriname but probably<br />

more wide-ranging; also in the eastern Atlantic,<br />

southeastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific,<br />

and eastern North Pacific.<br />
