Size: Reported to reach about 81 cm in total<br />

length.<br />

Habitat, biology, and fisheries: Occurs on the<br />

bottom on the upper and middle insular slopes at<br />

depths of 438 to about 952 m. Biology poorly<br />

known. Not fished presently, but possibly a discarded<br />

bycatch of deep-water demersal fisheries.<br />

Distribution: Only known from off the Bahamas<br />

region, between Cuba, Florida, and the<br />

Bahamas.<br />
