What special care would be taken to
preserve / improve air and noise quality
during construction?
Environmental baseline monitoring is
carried out satisfactorily by the expert.
The traffic characteristics are more or less
homogenous throughout the entire stretch-
three locations were chosen to represent
the potential worst scenarios as well as
well as normal scenarios, more or less
equidistant from each other- two are busy
junctions, and third is a comparatively less
polluted area
All vehicles for air quality delivering
materials to the site shall be covered to
avoid spillage of materials. Every
precaution to reduce the level of dust
emission for the hot mix plant up to the
satisfaction. All existing highways and
roads works shall be kept clean and clear
of all dust/mud. If required the Engineer,
the road surfaces shall be hosed or
watered using necessary equipment.
Plants, machinery and equipment shall be
so handled (including dismantling) so as
to minimize generation dust. The hot –
mix plant be sited at least 500 m from the
nearest habitation, shall be fitted with dust
extraction units in order. The discharge
standards promulgated under the
Environment Protection Act, 1986 shall
be strictly adhered to.
The for noise quality plants and
equipment used in construction (including
the aggregate crushing plant) shall strictly
conform to the GOI noise standards.
Maintenance of vehicles shall be regular
and proper. In construction sites within
150 m of the nearest habitation and 500 m
