in adoption matters and can help you with this. It is also important for you to
understand that, whilst the adoption agency must take into account your
wishes or feelings, the adoption agency and the adoptive parents cannot be
required to follow them.

What things would you like your child/children and the adopters to know
about your childhood and the way that it has influenced you? In time, it
will be very important for your child to have a better understanding of
your life, and why it has sometimes been difficult for you to manage.
This will be easier if he or she has a picture of both the good things and
the difficult experiences you may have had whilst growing up.
I am unable to compete this section because Tina has refused to comment
upon her own childhood.
From the department’s knowledge of Tina it would appear that she suffered
some adverse experiences in her family including sexual abuse. She
attended mainstream school but had a Statement of Special needs owing to
some learning difficulties.
It is clear from all the reports and assessments that have been carried out that
Tina has unrealistic expectations of her parenting ability and she fails to
accept or understand the reasons why she has not been able to provide a
safe and secure environment for any of her children.
