Simon continued to deny that he was Simon Doe <strong>and</strong> Tina<br />
asked <strong>the</strong> social workers to leave <strong>and</strong> proceeded to call 999<br />
reporting that she had trespassers in her home who were<br />
trying to take her baby.<br />
28.04.06 Home visit Mr <strong>and</strong> Mrs Green refuse workers entry. They<br />
tear up <strong>the</strong> letter detailing <strong>the</strong> plans for <strong>the</strong> new baby. They<br />
eventually accept ano<strong>the</strong>r copy but object to every point.<br />
01.05.06 George Green born at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Leicester</strong> Royal Infirmary.<br />
Hospital staff observe Tina to shout ‘shut up’ at <strong>the</strong> baby who<br />
appeared unsettled. Simon was present but did not<br />
intervene. During <strong>the</strong> 4 days Tina was in hospital <strong>the</strong> staff<br />
were concerned about her level of frustration <strong>and</strong> agitation<br />
<strong>and</strong> her rough h<strong>and</strong>ling of George.<br />
05.05.06 Angela Jakes Tina’s sister requests to be assessed as a<br />
carer for George but later withdraws her request.<br />
09.05.06 George is made subject to an Interim Care Order <strong>and</strong> placed<br />
in foster care. Adopters of Jean feel <strong>the</strong>y are too old to<br />
consider taking ano<strong>the</strong>r child.<br />
16.03.08 George moves to live with adopters, Adoption Order granted<br />
on <strong>the</strong> 23.10.07.<br />
13.08.07 Department is informed Mrs Green is pregnant with a due<br />
date of March 26 th 2008.<br />
14.08.07 Home visit to Mr <strong>and</strong> Mrs Green to discuss pregnancy <strong>and</strong><br />
child protection concerns. Couple refuse to discuss <strong>the</strong><br />
issue.<br />
22.01.08 Legal planning meeting decision to seek fur<strong>the</strong>r<br />
Psychological assessment from Julie Jamison <strong>and</strong> to seek<br />
Interim Care Order on <strong>the</strong> expected child.<br />
14.02.08 Pre birth conference decision taken to make expected child<br />
subject to a Child Protection Plan at birth <strong>and</strong> to make an<br />
application for a Care Order to secure <strong>the</strong> unborn baby’s<br />
safety.<br />
27.02.08 Psychological assessment concluded although she had<br />
identified some positive changes in Mr <strong>and</strong> Mrs Green she<br />
stated that <strong>the</strong> risk of placing a child in <strong>the</strong>ir care would be<br />
high. Her reasons were parent’s failure to fully recognise <strong>the</strong><br />
limits of <strong>the</strong>ir parenting ability <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir difficulty in accepting<br />
professional advice. She also stated that it would be<br />
