The LSI CTS2600 family of Configurable Storage Components solves the major problems for Systems Builders through external
storage solutions. External storage enables multiple servers to access a common storage array. Storage accessible by multiple servers
allows easy shifts of storage access from one server to another, enabling server updates, upgrades, or complete replacement with
near-zero service availability impact. Shared external storage consolidates data and reduces time/effort/expense of backup, makes
storage growth easy to deal with, and reduces wasteful over-provisioning.
Other advantages of the CTS2600 include FC array –to- FC array replication and support for server diskless boot, server failover
and Snapshot.
KEY FEATURES:
• 2U modular rack design for easy integration of either 24 2.5” drives or 12 3.5” drives and intermix of expansion chassis
• Dynamic LUN capacity expansion, dynamic RAID level migration, dynamic defragmentation
• Automated RAID configuration, support for LUN creation. RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5, 6 and 10
• End-to-end 6Gb/s SAS
• Hot-swap and redundant components for increased system availability
• Single or dual RAID controllers, single or dual expansion cabinets and ESMs
• Fully tested and qualified with 6Gb/s LSI HBAs
• Supports Performance SAS hard drives, Capacity SAS hard drives, and Solid State Devices (SSDs) for greater flexibility
• Concurrent host connectivity with support for 6Gb/s SAS and 8Gb/s FC or 6Gb/s SAS and 1Gb/s iSCSI

Replication (FC)
For duplex controllers - mirrored cache protects data in cache in the case of an unanticipated controller failure.
Battery units offering cache data protection in the case of an abrupt power outage, the battery unit keeps the RAID logic powered long enough to
backup the cached data to non-volatile flash. The combination of mirrored cache and battery-backed nvram cache protection allows for top tier
performance with the assurance the data will not be lost in a failure.
Everything needed for a complete deployment of external storage is available with one price list from LSI. Everything on the pricelist is backed by LSI
support warranty and service terms.
