tives to copulation, or that ZEtius should prefcribe the<br />

parts above the reins as a charm and incentive to lull:,<br />

but becaufe they have fome analogy and fimilitude<br />

with human reins, for which reafon they are fuppofed<br />

-to affift them, and excite them to perform the office of<br />

generation.* For this reafon warm unguents, among<br />

other medicines, are ufually prefcribed to such perfons,<br />
