JEL & Associates addressed the concept of extending power along Buck and Doe Road (a strategy that had been discussed at a 2/20109 Huaiapai Tribal Council meeting). The closest sub-station operated by Mohave Eiectric is 50-miles outside of GCW, constituting an "out-of-service" area. UniSource, the power provider in the immediate vicinity of Meadview and Dolan Springs, has been engaged in a power distribution feasibility analysis to connect GCW to the grid. The committee discussed the possibilty of the Hualapai establishing its own tribal utilty authority (TUA). A feasibilty analysis was completed 9/25/07 by the Hualapai Planning and Economic Development Department regarding the establishment of a TUA. .:. Water . 10" Water Line Plans & Profiles, Engineered plans and profiles of the 10" water line and delivery system connecting Eagle Point to the Airport were discussed. Fire hydrants within Site Plan have been identified. . Fire Suppression Pump House. A fire pump house has been purchased and is sittng on site. It is a diesei powered engine, as opposed to an electric powered engine. The advantage of the electric powered fire pump is that it may be installed on the Ground Floor within the building. The 10'x12' diesel fire pump house would need to be located within 50' of the Skywalk (incongruent with the aesthetics of a master planned site) and would require a diesel tank to support it. .:. Wastewater . Grade Analysis, The committee reviewed the grade between the proposed Advantex wastewater system and the point of discharge north of Skywalk facilty. An 11' cut would be necessary to provide gravity flow from point to point, compared to a sewer force main system requiring a 4' cut. Using a carbide-tipped trencher capable of grinding and refillng the cut without lateral impact to the surrounding landscape, a 42" ditch would support the installation of a force main system. The cost difference between an 11' ditch versus a 4' ditch is significant. .:. ITfTelecommunications. . The short-term solution for ITltelecom capacity at EP involves establishing microwave connectivity at GCW and mounting a microwave dish on the Skywalk Roof Deck. Exterior Stone. The external insulation finish system (EIFS) and stack stone are 100% complete; however, the application of exterior faux stone was discussed per the revised architectural rendition of the Skywalk by Dozal Illustrations. It was recommended to GCSD during the meeting that several representative panels of faux stone be constructed, transported to GCW and allowed to weather over time so that GCW management may examine which manufactured panel best suits the exterior of the Skywalk. . Weather Delays. The totai working days lost to date amount to 38. Delays include (a) temperature at 35 degrees or below, (b) rain and/or materials wet, (c) fallng snow and/or standing snow, and (d) wind (excessive for specialized construction). B.
