There are many diagnostic microscopes – many
of which may also be used during operations.
But our SDM 60 addresses customers who do not
wish to compromise optical quality and need a
high-quality and easy-to-maintain microscope
for carrying out examinations and microsuction
of ear wax. We are able to provide a product at
a favourable price-performance ratio by concen-
trating on a few features that are important and
necessary to examination work.
The lenses and mechanism are equal in quality to
the Kaps SOM® series – the depth of field of the
3x magnification changer is excellent and offers
a marked three-dimensional view. The wide-angle
eye-pieces for people who wear glasses are
supplied as standard. The optionally available
45° coupling will make the microscope even

easier to precisely position and manoeuvre. The
12 V/100 W light source delivers an excellent
quality of light. Bulbs may be changed manually
within just a few minutes. The fact that the light
conductor runs along the outside means that it
