As touching the manors of Shepreth, Malketon [=Malton?] and Meldreth with all their<br />

a<strong>pp</strong>urtenance lying within the shire of Cambridge, I, Edward Tyrrell, squire, the elder,<br />

will that my wife have estate in all the said manors with their a<strong>pp</strong>urtenances term of her<br />

life as it is comprehended in my will indented, and when my son, Edward, come to the age<br />

of 21 winter, I will that he have estate in the reversion of all the said manors with their<br />

a<strong>pp</strong>urtenances to him and to his heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, and if the said<br />

Edward, my son, die without issue male of his body lawfully begotten, and if the said<br />

Thomas, my nephew, die without issue male of his body lawfully begotten, then I will<br />

the said manors with their a<strong>pp</strong>urtenance remain to the general heirs of Edward my son’s<br />

body lawfully begotten, and if the said Edward, my son, die without heir of his body<br />

lawfully begotten, then I will the said manors with their a<strong>pp</strong>urtenances remain to my right<br />

heirs in fee forever, notwithstanding that as touching these manors it is otherwise<br />

comprehended in my will indented;<br />

And I will that the purview etc. as it is comprehended in my will indented in the latter<br />

end of the article touching the said manors stand in his full force and strength etc.;<br />

In witness of the which I have set to my seal. Given the 14 th day of December, the year<br />

of King Henry the Sixth after the Conquest 21.<br />
