ROB ANSPACH<br />

ASSISTANT COACH<br />

Rob Anspach, a two-time<br />

NCAA <strong>Wrestling</strong><br />

Championships participant,<br />

begins his fourth season as<br />

an assistant coach at his alma<br />

mater in 20<strong>04</strong>-<strong>05</strong>.<br />

Anspach complied a record of<br />

69-51 and made two trips to<br />

the NCAA Tournament during<br />

his five-year career at Hofstra.<br />

In 2000-2001 Anspach posted<br />

an 11-11 record and finished<br />

second at the ECWA<br />

Championship, earning a wild card selection to the 2001 NCAA<br />

Championships. That season he also won his weight class at the Bearcat<br />

Open, compiling a perfect 4-0 record.<br />

In the 1999-2000 season, Anspach had a 20-15 record on his way to an<br />

ECWA individual championship and an NCAA berth. Anspach also placed<br />

first at the Congressional Cup and was the runner-up at the New York<br />

State Championships in 1999-2000.<br />

Anspach, a resident of Hicksville, New York, is a 2001 graduate of<br />

Hofstra University with a degree in American studies.<br />

DONNY PRITZLAFF<br />

ASSISTANT COACH<br />

Donny Pritzlaff, a two-time<br />

NCAA Champion, is in his<br />

second season as an assistant<br />

coach at Hofstra University. A<br />

four-time All-American,<br />

Pritzlaff moved to the<br />

sidelines to assist Ryan in all<br />

aspects of the Hofstra<br />

<strong>Wrestling</strong> program last year,<br />

while also training for a berth<br />

on the United States Olympic<br />

Team.<br />

Pritzlaff was an NCAA<br />

Champion at 165 pounds in 2000 and 2001, and was a three-time Big<br />

Ten Champion during his four-year career at the University of Wisconsin.<br />

“Donny brings great wrestling experience and class to the program,”<br />

said Ryan. “Being from the New Jersey area, he gives us recruiting<br />

credibility in the northeast, which we feel is the premiere wrestling<br />

region in the country. We couldn’t be more happy to have Donny on our<br />

staff.”<br />

Pritzlaff was a junior world champion in 1998 and was a member of the<br />

United States National Team in 2002-2003. Following his graduation in<br />

May 2002, Pritzlaff served as a volunteer assistant for the Badgers<br />

during the 2002-2003 season.<br />

Pritzlaff, who has a degree in sociology, resides in Oyster Bay, New<br />

York. He is engaged to marry Robin Schrafnagel of Abbotsford,<br />

Wisconsin, on December 31, 20<strong>04</strong>.<br />

Bob Busby is in his fourth<br />

year of assisting the Pride<br />

coaching staff as an<br />

administrative assistant and<br />

academic coordinator in<br />

20<strong>04</strong>-<strong>05</strong>. Busby joined the<br />

Pride after spending 36 years as the head coach of the Port Washington<br />

High School wrestling team.<br />

Busby, who holds bachelor and master’s degrees from Hofstra, wrestled<br />

for the University in the early 1960’s. After graduation, Busby began his<br />

career as a teacher, guidance counselor and coach at Port Washington.<br />

During his 36-year career Busby compiled a 325-143 record and was<br />

one of the most successful wrestling coaches in New York State history.<br />

Busby, who runs a charter fishing business in Southold, New York,<br />

holds the rank of Captain in the United States Merchant Marine<br />

Academy. Busby is also a 30-year member of the Roslyn Rescue Fire<br />

Company and served as its president for many years. He was recently<br />

inducted into the Port Washington Youth Activities Hall of Fame for his<br />

work with the Port Washington Youth <strong>Wrestling</strong> Program.<br />

An active alumnus, Busby has served on the Carlin-Rudolph Endowed<br />

Scholarship Committee since its inception. Busby and his wife, Anita,<br />

reside in Roslyn Heights, New York. The couple has three grown<br />

children and two grandchildren.<br />

through the challenging academic times of our<br />
